Snov.io Review (2026): Is This Prospecting and Cold Email Tool Right for Your Small Business?

By Omar Abdelrehim, disabled US Navy veteran and founder of GovernmentQB, a small business that coaches companies on selling to government agencies · Last updated: October 2026

Quick verdict: Snov.io puts lead finding, email verification, cold email campaigns, email warm-up, and a simple sales CRM in one place, with unlimited team seats on every plan. For B2B small businesses that sell by reaching out to other businesses, it's a lot of tool for the money, starting at $39 a month. If you don't do outbound sales, or you only email people who already signed up for your list, you don't need it.

What is Snov.io?

Snov.io is a sales prospecting and outreach platform. In plain terms, it helps you:

  1. Find people to contact. Search for leads by company, job title, or industry, or look up the email address for a specific person.
  2. Check that their email addresses are real before you send, so your messages don't bounce.
  3. Send personalized email sequences with automatic follow-ups, and track opens, clicks, and replies.
  4. Keep your sending accounts healthy with email warm-up and deliverability checks.
  5. Track deals in a built-in sales CRM.

Snov.io says over 175,000 businesses use it (Snov.io pricing page). It also offers LinkedIn automation and phone number and data enrichment as separate add-on subscriptions.

About this review: Written by a small-business owner who spent years helping companies sell to government agencies before founding his own coaching business, GovernmentQB. It's an evaluation based on Snov.io's official documentation and pricing, judged from a small-business point of view. First-hand notes from the owner are clearly marked.

Who is Snov.io for?

A good fit if you:

  • Sell to other businesses (B2B) and need to reach decision-makers you don't know yet.
  • Run a small agency, consultancy, or service business that wins clients through outreach.
  • Do business development and spend hours hunting down email addresses by hand.
  • Have a small team and want shared lists, shared do-not-email lists, and team stats without paying per seat.
  • Want one tool instead of separate email-finder, verifier, warm-up, and sequencing subscriptions.

Probably not a fit if you:

  • Sell mainly to consumers (B2C). Cold-emailing individuals raises legal and reputation problems.
  • Only send newsletters to people who already opted in. A regular email marketing tool fits better.
  • Get most of your work from referrals or walk-in customers.
  • Aren't ready to learn the basics of email deliverability and compliance.

An honest word on cold email: Cold outreach works best when it's targeted, relevant, and respectful. In the US, commercial email must follow the CAN-SPAM Act, which requires things like honest subject lines, a physical address, and an easy way to opt out (FTC CAN-SPAM guide). Other countries have stricter rules. Snov.io gives you the tools, but how you use them is on you.

Key features

All features below are listed on Snov.io's official pricing page (snov.io/pricing). Some are limited or unavailable on the free Trial plan.

Prospecting and email finder

  • Database search: Find leads and companies that match your ideal customer, using filters from skills to revenue. Snov.io notes that you're charged for saving prospects, not for searching.
  • Domain search: Enter a company name or website and see employees, their job titles, and contact details.
  • Email search: Find a verified email from a person's name and company.
  • Browser extensions: An Email Finder extension and a LinkedIn Prospect Finder extension let you collect leads while you browse.
  • Bulk search for prospects and companies (paid plans).

Email verification

A 7-tier email verification process that Snov.io says checks emails with 98%+ accuracy, bounce risk detection, greylisting bypass, and bulk verification of up to 100,000 emails per file or list.

Cold email campaigns

  • Unlimited campaigns, unlimited follow-ups, and unlimited sender accounts on all plans. You're limited by the number of recipients your plan allows.
  • Multichannel sequences that mix email and LinkedIn steps.
  • Unibox: one inbox for replies across your sender accounts.
  • Personalization: dynamic fields and spintax, A/B testing, and Email AI to help write messages.
  • Mailbox rotation, campaign and daily volume controls, and a high bounce rate safeguard.
  • Analytics: drill-down stats and reply sentiment analysis, plus booking detection with Calendly.

Deliverability and warm-up

Email warm-up with unlimited warm-up volume and a premium warm-up pool, plus a deliverability and placement check, spam word checker, custom tracking domain, DNS record checker, sender reputation check, and blacklist checker. These matter: if your emails land in spam, nothing else works.

Sales CRM

A built-in deal pipeline with task management, deal loss reason tracking, and Google Calendar sync. It's simpler than a full CRM, but enough for many small teams.

Teamwork

Unlimited team seats on every paid plan, with shared credits and recipients, team data access controls, team member statistics, shared prospect notes, and shared do-not-email lists.

Integrations

Native two-way integrations with HubSpot and Pipedrive (including 24 Pipedrive automation scenarios), Calendly, Clay, Zapier, Make, and an API with webhooks. Snov.io says Zapier and Make connect it to 5,000+ other tools.

Add-ons (separate subscriptions)

  • LinkedIn Automation: automate connection requests, messages, InMails, profile visits, and more, with randomized limits, a warm-up mode, and a dedicated location-based proxy per account.
  • Enrichment: verified phone numbers, prospect insights, and data cleanup, paid with tokens.
  • Done-for-you sending infrastructure: sending domains from $12/year per domain and ready-to-use email accounts at $5/month each.

A note on LinkedIn automation: LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts automated activity on its platform (LinkedIn User Agreement). Snov.io builds in safety measures, but read LinkedIn's rules and decide whether the risk to your account is worth it.

Credits, recipients, and tokens explained

Snov.io uses three "currencies," and they're the key to understanding your bill:

  • Credits pay for finding and verifying emails. Each found prospect costs 1 credit. Unused credits expire every 30 days, but roll over on annual plans or with plan renewal enabled.
  • Recipients pay for campaigns. You're charged 1 recipient the first time you contact a lead. Follow-ups to that lead in the same billing period are free. Unused recipients expire after 30 days and don't roll over.
  • Enrichment tokens pay for phone numbers and data enrichment. Extra token packages are $0.02 per token and last 90 days.

Bigger plans cost less per credit. Snov.io's own example: about 3.9¢ per credit on Starter vs. roughly 0.9¢ on Pro M.

Add-on costs

  • LinkedIn Automation: $69/month per LinkedIn account slot ($62/month billed annually), with $10 off each slot if you also have a Sales Suite plan. There's a free 7-day trial.
  • Extra enrichment tokens: $0.02 per token, sold in packages.
  • Sending domains from $12/year; email accounts $5/month each.

Small-business tip: Start on the free Trial to learn the tools. If you contact fewer than 5,000 new people a month, Starter is likely enough. Don't buy a bigger plan for the cheaper credits unless you'll actually use them, because unused monthly credits expire unless you're on annual billing or have renewal enabled.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • All-in-one outbound toolkit. Finding, verifying, sending, warm-up, and a CRM in one subscription.
  • Unlimited team seats on every paid plan. Rare at this price.
  • Unlimited senders, campaigns, and follow-ups. You only pay for new recipients.
  • Strong deliverability tools built in, including warm-up, DNS checks, and blacklist checks.
  • Affordable entry point at $39/month, and a free Trial that renews monthly.
  • Good integrations with HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zapier, and Make.
  • Implementation help included on paid plans.

Cons

  • The credit system takes learning. Credits, recipients, and tokens each work differently.
  • Unused credits expire monthly on monthly billing unless renewal is enabled.
  • LinkedIn automation costs extra and carries account risk under LinkedIn's rules.
  • The free Trial is very limited. 50 credits and 100 recipients are enough to explore, not to run real outreach.
  • Cold email takes work. Results depend on your list, your message, and your deliverability setup, not just the software.
  • Not built for B2C or newsletters.

Snov.io alternatives

Check each vendor's official site for current pricing.

  • Hunter.io: A well-known email finder and verifier with simple cold email campaigns. Simpler, if you mostly need to find emails.
  • Apollo.io: A large B2B contact database with sequencing and a free tier. Strong if database size is your priority.
  • lemlist: Cold email and multichannel outreach with a focus on personalization.
  • Instantly: Cold email sending and warm-up built for high volume across many inboxes.
  • Woodpecker: Cold email tool with a focus on deliverability and agency features.

Rule of thumb: If you only need email addresses now and then, a simpler finder will do. If you want finding, verifying, and sending in one place for a small team, Snov.io is a strong contender.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Snov.io cost?

At time of writing, paid plans start at $39/month (Starter) and go up through Pro S ($99), Pro M ($189), Pro L ($369), and Ultra ($738), with Custom Ultra priced on request. Annual billing is advertised at 25% off (source).

Is Snov.io free?

There's a free Trial plan that renews every month, with 50 credits, 100 recipients, 25 enrichment tokens, and 1 warm-up slot. Bulk tools, export, integrations, A/B testing, and the API aren't included. Snov.io says the Trial is meant for exploring, not for growing sales.

What is a Snov.io credit?

A credit pays for email finding and verification, and certain enrichment methods. Each found prospect costs 1 credit. Credits expire every 30 days unless you're on an annual plan or have plan renewal enabled.

What is a recipient in Snov.io?

A recipient is someone you contact in a campaign. You're charged once when you first email them, and follow-ups in the same billing period are free.

Does Snov.io have unlimited team seats?

Yes. Paid plans include unlimited team seats, with shared credits, lists, and do-not-email lists.

Does Snov.io integrate with HubSpot and Pipedrive?

Yes. Both have native two-way integrations, and Snov.io also connects with Zapier, Make, Calendly, Clay, and its own API and webhooks.

Is cold emailing with Snov.io legal?

In the US, B2B cold email is allowed if you follow the CAN-SPAM Act: no misleading headers or subject lines, include your physical address, and honor opt-out requests promptly. Rules are stricter in places like the EU and Canada. This isn't legal advice; check the rules where your recipients are.

Can I cancel or change plans anytime?

Snov.io says you can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade anytime.

Verdict: should you use Snov.io?

For B2B small businesses that grow through outreach, Snov.io packs a lot into one subscription: find the right people, confirm their emails, send personalized sequences, keep your sender reputation healthy, and track the deals. Unlimited team seats and unlimited senders make it especially good value for small teams and agencies.

The trade-offs are real. The credit system takes some learning, credits expire monthly on monthly billing unless renewal is enabled, and the LinkedIn automation add-on costs extra and carries risk. And no tool can fix a weak list or a message nobody wants to read.

Our take: Start on the free Trial and run a tiny test: find and verify 25 good-fit prospects, and write a short, genuinely useful email to them. If the tools save you hours and you're getting real replies, Starter at $39 a month is a sensible next step. If outreach isn't how your business grows, save your money.
